About me
Stefka Nikolova
Hello! My name is Stefka Nikolova and I am a speech and language therapist in Sliven.
In brief
I work with children, and I know how many questions parents can have when it comes to the development of speech and communication. That is why on this site you will find clear, calm information to help you find your way.
in kindergartens and schools
Over these years, my work has been with children in educational settings, where speech and communication are part of their everyday lives.
Professional experience
For many years I worked as an expert specialist at the Regional Centre for Support of Inclusive Education (РЦПППО) Sliven. There I led individual and group sessions with pupils with special educational needs (SEN).
My expert work included preparing individual assessments and reports for children and pupils identified as needing additional support through resource teaching.
I have worked as a resource teacher and speech and language therapist in kindergartens and schools in the Sliven region.

How I work
I work with children aged 3 to 16 and with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
I am a specialist with practical experience in the following areas:
- children and pupils with special educational needs (SEN);
- children and pupils with speech and language disorders and conditions;
- children and pupils with hyperactivity and attention deficit;
- children and pupils with delays in their social and emotional development.
I have extensive practical experience with children and pupils at risk and with difficulties in learning and socialisation.
My practice as a speech and language therapist and resource teacher includes individual sessions tailored to the abilities of each child and pupil.
Where needed, I help parents find the right specialist: a psychologist, medical specialists, specialist centres or social services that can support the family and the child.
Every child develops at their own pace. If you have questions or observations about your child’s speech and communication, I would be happy to talk them through with you. A conversation with a speech and language therapist can help you get more information and decide which next steps are right.
